The Great Arctic Swim will produce a full feature documentary of the expedition. From the flight to Qaanaaq, in a small airplane, to swimming across the Nares Strait, and all of the stories along the way. The feature will highlight, in full detail, the lives of the native people. The story of their lives will be interwoven with the story of the expedition and bring to light the people of the arctic.
With the changing climate in the back drop, the team will allow the people of Qaanaaq to tell their story of life in the Arctic. The team will go on a voyage of history from the time their ancestors settled the region to the present. Justin will explore how hunting is central to their way of life and how that life is being threatened by they changes they are experiencing in the arctic
We will also incorporate how important the Nares Strait Ice Arch is to the expedition on a small scale and at the global scale, the Arctic ice sheet.
